JANIS PAIGE

Janis Paige is an actress and a singer who was already singing and performing by the age of five. She was hired as a singer at the Hollywood Canteen, and later, she posed as a pin-up girl as gratitude for being named as the United States Army Air Force’s Black Widow Girl. It was also while she was working in Hollywood Canteen when she was discovered by an agent. She started taking small roles in low-budget musicals where she was often working with Jack Carson or Dennis Morgan. She then appeared in Romance on the High Seas and Two Gals and a Guy.

However, according to Paige, Hollywood wasn’t for her, so she went back to performing on Broadway where she was much better received. She became famous for her portrayal of Babe in the musical The Pajama Game. She eventually went back to Hollywood where she appeared in the film Silk Stockings along with Cyd Charisse and Fred Astaire. She has earned a considerable sum during her career which she has made numerous investments to date.
