Chris Evans – Director
Prior to being cast as Captain America in the MCU, he was first The Human Torch for Fantastic Four fans. Though the sequel did not do so well in the eyes of fans and critics, Evans was eventually replaced by Michael J. Fox in a reboot. As it was, Hollywood had greater plans for the actor as he was ultimately cast as Captain America. He also played various roles on TV and in other movies, like an attorney in the series Defending Jacob.
Evans said in 2014 that he wanted to limit his time acting and try to elevate his career by branching off to being a director. He is given credit for his directorial work in the romantic drama Before We Go. Testing his acting limits further, he also made way for Broadway when he appeared on Lobby Hero. For his performance here, he received a Drama League Award nomination. Had he not been willing to explore other areas of acting, the actor would not have landed the role of Captain America. So naturally, fans are grateful for that.
