CHAZ BONO – CHER’S SON

The famed daughter-turned-son of the popular duo Sonny and Cher is Chaz Bono. Born Chastity Sun Bono on March 4, 1969, Chaz Salvatore Bono started very early in the show business. As a child, Bono was already appearing in The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour, his parents’ TV show. Currently, he is making a name for himself as an actor, writer, and musician.

Bono authored two books about his journey as a trans man. He wrote Family Outing: A Guide to the Coming Out Process for Gays, Lesbians, and Their Families, which he published in 1998, and The End of Innocence, published in 2003. Being very public about his gender, Chaz has been openly talking about his process and identity change. The degree of honesty and generosity that he has shown over the years has inspired millions around the world.
