AUDREY DALTON

Audrey Dalton always wanted to be an address. As a young girl, she didn’t want an ordinary university degree, so she went to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London instead. While at RADA, a Paramount executive noticed her in a play and invited her to audition for the upcoming movie at the time, The Girls of Pleasure Island. She got the role and a Paramount contract to boot, which led her to move to the U.S. in 1952.

Paramount loaned Dalton out to 20th Century Fox for My Cousin Rachel and Titanic. Throughout her career, the actress freelanced, working in films and on TV, taking various roles as she saw fit. Her first husband was assistant director James H. Brown, who is the father of her four children. She is now 87 years old and married to a retired engineer.
