RAQUEL WELCH
Raquel Welch is an actress, a singer, and a successful entrepreneur who made a splash not just on film, but also on theaters and Broadway. Her first-ever film was Fantastic Voyage in 1966 where she played one of the scientists who were shrunken to be able to enter the body of an ailing diplomat in order to save his life. The film was successful, and during this time, Welch was loaned to the British to film One Million Years B.C. This was the movie that sealed Welch’s status in the entertainment industry.
Unfortunately, she was primarily sought-after due to her figure and physical attractiveness, which made her career even more difficult as she tried to take on controversial roles. She did land several awards such as a Golden Globe for her acting in the film The Three Musketeers and she was noted for her role in Mother, Jugs & Speed. Her other film credits are Right to Die and Legally Blonde, which helped her career during her later years. Now, she remains to be one of the most iconic actresses from the ‘60s.
