ROWAN ATKINSON

When you say Rowan Atkinson’s name, the show Mr. Bean will quickly come to mind. The 66-year-old star is famous for his portrayal of the titular character, along with his role in the sitcom Blackadder. It looks like the English actor is in line with sketch comedy shows. He first rose to fame when he did Not the Nine O’Clock News from 1979 to 1982. He has been listed as one of the 50 funniest actors in British comedy in 2007.

Atkinson, however, is not just an ordinary actor and comedian. He is also a theatre actor who has received an Olivier Award for his performance in Rowan Atkinson in Revue in the West End in 1981. With his feats and invaluable contributions to the entertainment world, he was appointed a CBE in the 2013 Birthday Honors. Atkinson, so far, has 79 acting credits and has an upcoming TV series titled Man vs. Bee, which is now in the pre-production stage.
