VERA MILES
Vera Miles began her acting career after being crowned Miss Kansas. She moved to Los Angeles and made small appearances in film and commercials, but it was not until she signed onto various studios when she started to have a good number of acting credits in her catalog. Miles became an instant powerhouse and was sought out by many directors. Her most iconic role as Lila Crane in Alfred Hitchcock’s classic thriller Psycho garnered her international acclaim and recognition.
Her performance is injected into pop culture and has been referenced in other films and television shows. She retired after appearing in the 1995 film Separate Lives. Miles married four times before finding her one true love in director Robert Jones in 1973. She currently lives in Palm Desert, California and particularly avoids making any public appearances and interviews. However, Miles is very friendly with her fans and actively engages with them.
