EARL HOLLIMAN

Earl Holliman is more notably known as an actor, but he is also a singer and an animal’s right activist. He played numerous roles both in television and film in between the ‘50s and ‘60s. In 1956, he won a Golden Globe for playing the role Jim Curry in the critically acclaimed film The Rainmaker alongside Hollywood elites Burt Lancaster and Katharine Hepburn. He also portrayed Sergeant Bill Crowley on the series Police Woman throughout its four-year run from 1974 to 1978.

To his credit, the actor has nursed many animals in his sanctuary. He has been very vocal against the exploitation of animal’s fur being used as clothing and has estimated to have fed over 500 pigeons. He also kept charity work close to his heart and has helped organized luncheons and dinners for the people in need during Christmas. At the ripe age of 92, he currently resides alone in Studio City, California.
