PAT SAJAK
Wheel of Fortune will not be complete without its longtime host, Pat Sajak, who has made a career out of this game show for decades. Merv Griffin offered the hosting job to Sajak, but the show was turned down by the then-NBC president, Fred Silverman. Griffin shut down the game show until Silverman agreed to Sajak hosting it. Sajak has been its host for more than three decades which is why he was awarded by the Guinness Book of World Records for being the longest-running host for a game show.
Aside from his success as a game show host, Sajak has other ventures that helped him earn more for his family. He has appeared in films, had a late-night talk show named, The Pat Sajak Show, and even worked as a guest host for several TV programs. Aside from hosting, he had numerous investments, one of which is the Golden Baseball League.
