Barbara Rush

Barbara Rush is an American actress who won a Golden Globe Award for the film It Came from Outer Space. While working at Paramount, she acted in small roles initially before working with some of the biggest stars of her time. She starred opposite top leading men such as Paul Newman and Kirk Douglas, to name a few. Regardless of her A-list movies, Rush’s career began to slow down to some degree by the 1960s.

She still managed to find a steady gig as Marsha Russell on Peyton Place, a primetime soap opera that aired from 1964 to 1969. Rush later joined other soap operas such as Flamingo Road and All My Children. Her television work wound up being The actress just turned 94 this year. Her last role was in the 2017 short film Bleeding Hearts: The Arteries of Glenda Bryant.
