ERIKA COSBY – BILL COSBY’S DAUGHTER
Born on April 8, 1965, in Los Angeles, California, Erika Ranee Cosby is the eldest child of comedian Bill Cosby and his wife Camille Cosby. Being the daughter of a famous TV personality, she didn’t need any student loans when she went to Wesleyan University and to the School of Visual Arts, New York for college. She earned her Bachelor in Fine Arts in 1989. She pursued further studies and got her Masters in Fine Arts in 1991.
An artist through and through, Erika became an artist in residence at the Abrons Art Center. She also became a professor at New York University in 2012 and 2013. She is very active in the visual arts scene and has had exhibits in the Arlington Arts Center, Saltworks Contemporary Art, Slate Gallery, Allegra LaViola Gallery, The Last Brucennial, National Museum of African Art, and Artspace.
