MEL BROOKS

Mel Brooks is a well-known artist, comic, composer, and filmmaker. He is known as the man behind many film satires and comedic parodies. He started his career as a humorist and a writer for the early variety TV show entitled Your Show of Shows. Together with Carl Reiner, he created the comic character The 2000-Year-Old Man. Also, with Buck Henry, he wrote the famous television comedy series Get Smart.

Brooks became one of the most successful film directors in the 1970s, and dozens of his films were part of the top 10 money-makers of the year when they were released. Mel is easily one of the best producers and comedians of his time as he has been consistently recognized by many award-giving bodies such as Tony Awards, Grammy Award, Emmy Award, and Oscar Award.
