ELINOR DONAHUE

Elinor Donahue has graced TV screens for several decades since she started her career as a child actress in vaudeville, which then transitioned to teenage roles, too. She has done more than a hundred acting jobs during her career with her role in Girl’s Town being her first on film. Donahue became a household name for her portrayal of Betty in the hit TV show, Father Knows Best, which ran from 1954 to 1960. Her next act was in The Andy Griffith Show as Ellie Walker.

She went on to work on numerous TV shows such as Many Happy Returns, The Odd Couple, Days of Our Lives, The Love Boat, Get a Life, and Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman. Donahue also lent her voice to Fox Kids and Eek! The Cat. Aside from her investments in TV shows, she also wrote In the Kitchen with Elinor Donahue which is a memoir about her life. It included her life in Hollywood as well as recipes from her kitchen.
