BOB BARKER
Robert William Barker, or more popularly known as Bob Barker, is a well-known former TV game show host. He is famous for hosting The Price Is Right for 35 years. It was the longest-running daytime game show in the history of North American TV. Prior to the show, Barker was the host of Truth or Consequences, which lasted for 19 years. After he retired from his five-decade successful career, he set aside investment money for his future.
Barker was born in Washington and enlisted in the US Navy during World War II. While attending college, he was working for a radio station part-time. Soon he moved to California and chased his dreams to become a broadcaster. From there, he had his own radio show, The Bob Barker Show. Eventually, he hosted many game shows and pageants, and in fact, he is also a long-time running pageant host.
