ALI MACGRAW – ANIMAL RIGHTS ADVOCATE
The 1970s saw the rise to stardom of then-newcomer Ali MacGraw. She was even given the Golden Globe Award for having the most promise for her performance in Goodbye, Columbus. MacGraw was also nominated for an Academy Award and won the Golden Globe for Love Story. Seeing the need to inspire others, she also wrote her autobiography, Moving Pictures, back in 1991.
The actress is now semi-retired from acting. She was supposed to appear in one episode of Breaking Bad, Grey Matter, but her cameo never made it to the final version. For the most part, the actress has been dedicating her life to advocating for animal rights. She is a US Ambassador for the animal welfare charity group Animals, Asia. The Animal Protection of New Mexico gave her credit for the work she put in and conferred the Human Education Award upon her.
