WENDY WILLIAMS – WRITER
Before becoming the host of the syndicated TV show The Wendy Williams Show, Wendy Williams first worked as a radio DJ and gained fame as a shock jockette. Her on-air spats with celebrities endeared her to her fans, to the chagrin of those who are not fond of her. This reputation, however, paved the way for the TV personality to become the subject of a VH1 reality TV show, The Wendy Williams Experience, in 2006.
She is not only known as a TV personality but also a renowned writer who has authored seven books, including the fiction Hold Me in Contempt: A Romance. Business also appealed to her as she has ventured into establishing her own product lines and fashion lines. To honor and give her credit, the council of Asbury Park in New Jersey renamed the street she grew up to Wendy Williams Way.
