PIPER SLOAN – MELISSA SUE ANDERSON’S DAUGHTER

Melissa Sue Anderson began acting in the 1970s. She initially focused on dance, but after one of her teachers suggested that she start acting, she then booked jobs. After appearing in smaller roles in shows like The Brady Bunch and Bewitched, she landed the role that would bring her widespread popularity— Mary Ingalls Kendall on Little House on the Prairie. She worked steadily in show business for quite a time but has since appeared sporadically.

In 1990, the actress wed producer Michael Sloan, with whom she has two children: daughter Piper and son Griffin. Piper, now 29 years old, is a program specialist and claims to be skilled in program development, strategic planning, writing, and public speaking. Throughout her career, she has raised awareness for various causes. She also created the organization called American University Village Savings and Investment Institute.
