Alicia Keys caught people’s attention after releasing her highly acclaimed debut album Songs in A Minor. Today, she is among the most notable R&B artists of her generation. At the age of seven, she started studying how to play piano using the Suzuki method. Her practice reached up to six hours a day, and it took her a lot of investments to be an expert. When Alicia turned 15 years old, she and Columbia Records signed a contract.

The record company helped her shape her image by pairing her with various producers to work with. From there, she began to cement her status and impressed several R&B critics with her sheer musical talent and complex lyricism. Apart from singing, Alicia also had numerous acting roles, like in the film Smokin’ Aces. She is now 40 years old, but she remains one of the world’s most gorgeous musicians.
